Our Classes

Due to Covid 19, Artistic Endeavors Dance is offering classes in 5 week sessions. Beginning “Feets!”: Ages 6 months & Up (Parent/Child)

Offering Jan. 2021  Due to Covid 19, every child who participates must be registered to allow for social distancing.  At this time, we no longer allow a single registration for families with multiple children.

Laughing, Loving, Learning the arts together! This social, stimulating, bonding, shared experience allows you to interact with your child in a focused way, building important developmental skills such as gross and fine motor coordination, vocabulary building, shape and color recognition, counting skills and a love for creativity. You will be treated to a curriculum with a wide variety of games, music and movement activities. Classes are 30 minutes in length. No dress code is required for this class.

Pre-Ballet I: Ages 3-5

An introduction to dance in a fun, loving, structured setting. Students will learn a combination of Creative Movement and Pre-Ballet basics through a specially designed curriculum that is taught to a variety of music. Classes are 45 minutes in length and offer a parent observation class at the end of each session. Dress code is required. Exception to the age requirement is by permission of the teacher only.

Ballet II/Tap     Ballet II/Jazz: Ages 5-8

During Covid 19, Combination classes are not being offered.  Single subject classes are 45 minutes in length to allow for cleaning.  Classes will be one subject Ballet or Jazz.  Tap is not being offered during this time.

The Ballet II program incorporates either tap or jazz  into the curriculum. This 1 hour class, with a program split of 40 minutes ballet and 20 minutes tap or jazz, delves deeper into the world of classical training. With a non-stop structure, children move from barre, floor, center, loco motor and creative, to tap or jazz. This class offers a parent observation the last class of the fall  session.  The winter/spring session offers a “showcase” where choreography is learned and presented in the classrooms with minimal costuming.  Exception to the age requirement is by permission of the teacher only. No previous training is required.  Dress code is required.

 

 

Ballet III/Tap II   Ballet III/Jazz: Ages 7-10

During Covid 19, Combination classes are not being offered.  Single subject classes are 45 minutes in length to allow for cleaning.  Classes will be one subject Ballet or Jazz.  Tap is not being offered during this time.

A continuation of the Ballet II program. This class offers a parent observation the last class of the fall  session.  The winter/spring session offers a “showcase” where choreography is learned and presented in the classrooms with minimal costuming.  All students must have at least one year of dance training or be age 9 or older if no previous training.   Dress code is required.

Ballet IV: Ages 9-12

For children ages 9-12 A one hour class that focuses on ballet technique.  Class begins with a ballet barre, and moves through the hour with Barre and Floor stretches, Adagio, Petit Allegro and Grand Allegro.  Small combinations are taught to improve artistry, line and quality of movement.  This class offers a parent observation the last class of the fall  session.  The winter/spring session offers a “showcase” where choreography is learned and presented in the classrooms with minimal costuming.  2 years of previous training is required.

Intermediate Ballet: Ages 10-12

Jazz I: Ages 5-8

Offering Jan. 2021 A special 45 minute class  for ages 5-8 that teaches the basics of classic jazz, theater dance and video hip hop. A Ballet class is recommended to take along with this class but not required. This class offers a parent observation the last class of the fall  session.  The winter/spring session offers a “showcase” where choreography is learned and presented in the classrooms with minimal costuming.  Special half time shows for Westminster College will be offered during the winter session if they become available.  Dress code is required.

Jazz II: Ages 8-10

For children ages 8-10 this  45 min class features a technical classic jazz warm up, across the floor and video hip hop style combinations. This class offers a parent observation the last class of the fall session.  The winter/spring session offers a “showcase” where choreography is learned and presented in the classrooms with minimal costuming.  Special half time shows for Westminster College will be offered during the winter session if they become available. Dress code is required.   Exception to the age requirement is by permission of the teacher only. 

 

Intermediate Jazz: Ages 10-12

For children ages 10-12  A one hour class that focuses on Jazz technique  including a technical classic jazz warm up, across the floor and video hip hop style combinations. Previous dance training is required for this Intermediate level class.  This class offers a parent observation the last class of the fall  session.  The winter/spring session offers a “showcase” where choreography is learned and presented in the classrooms with minimal costuming.  Special half time shows for Westminster College and the University of Utah will be offered during the fall/winter sessions if they become available.  3 years of previous jazz training is required.  Dress code is required.   Exception to the age requirement is by permission of the  teacher only.

Adult Tap

Learn the basics of Tap Dance.  This is a fun introduction to Tap Dance with exercises for rhythm, balance and memory enhancement.  Basic Tap steps with Tap vocabulary are taught and combined together to build combinations and short dance routines.  Classes are 1 hour in length. $5.00 per class  No dress code required.  During the summer months, children ages 11 & older may attend this class but will need to register for a one hour class ($105).

Adult Ballet

Tone your body, improve balance and strength, enhance your memory and clear your mind!  This class includes a classical Ballet barre warm up and then moves to the center for an ending adage. Classes are 1 hour in length. $5.00 per class  Dress code is not mandatory but recommended.
